Lead Instructor: Phlebotomy / Lab Assistant
The Position: Teach assigned courses; professionally prepare course work, course outlines, handouts, and monitor student learning within the classroom; teach assigned courses according to established CAIOMS approved curriculum. Provide general supervision of all campus instructor personnel; maintain instructor schedules and assist the school director in organizing community promotion activities.
Serve as the director of the CLS (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) and MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) training programs; assist in the initial development of program curriculum and training programs in cooperation with the school director and be responsible for maintaining NAACLS and State approval of the training programs.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a clinical laboratory scientist/medical technologist with a nationally recognized generalist certification possessing a minimum of a master's or doctoral degree and 3-5 years of experience in clinical laboratory science education that includes teaching courses, conducting and managing learning experience, evaluating student achievement and competencies, providing input into curriculum development, policy and procedure formulation, and evaluation of program effectiveness; possess knowledge of education methods and administration, general human resource/personnel management, supervision and evaluation of personnel, as well as current accreditation and certification procedures; must possess a current certification as a California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT); possess valid first aid and adult CPR certifications; possess experience working with a personal computer, using Microsoft Word, Outlook (e-mail usage).
Preference: Knowledge in drug screening and testing. Experience in taking and teaching EKG's, patient vitals (respiration, temperature, blood pressure, pulse), and height and weight. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
Hourly Pay:
Based on experience. Non-Exempt. Part-time possible Full-time. Day and evening shifts available.

Instructor: Phlebotomy / Lab Assistant
The Position: Teach assigned courses; professionally prepare course work, course outlines, handouts, and monitor student learning within the classroom; teach assigned courses according to established CAIOMS approved curriculum.
Maintain an educational environment that fosters appropriate and interesting curriculum while promoting experiential learning, one-on-one contact with students, group / team activities, and student interaction; uphold and maintain class and school rules and guidelines; class rules should be according to CAIOMS approved guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a minimum of an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree, minimum of five (5) years experience as a California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) with 1-2 years of experience in Phlebotomy education or teaching courses on a college level related to Medical education; possess experience and skill in the development of professional course curriculum and evaluating student competencies; must be able to demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, must be able to work in a fast paced environment; multitask various assignments given; and demonstrated ability to meet set job related goals, objectives and timelines.
Must possess a current certification as a California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT); possess valid first aid and adult CPR certifications; knowledge of general lab procedures (within the scope of this job description); possess experience working with a personal computer, using Microsoft Word, Outlook (e-mail usage).
